Sofía is the voice of American Vida.
Born and raised in Guatemala, Sofía is a young mother, wife, writer, cook, and business owner.
Living in two worlds rolled up into one wonderful life, her life is the epitome of an American Vida.
In her blog she shares some of her travels, delicious food, amateur photography, some of the latest technology and essays on family and culture.
Sofía lives in San Francisco, CA with her husband and two children, her 14 year old son and her almost 8 year old daughter. She also shares her home with her two dogs, a Puggle named Punky and a Chipit named Wilson.
Representing her love for her home country, Sofía opened up Los Shucos Latin Hot Dogs, a small award winner restaurant located in the heart of the Mission District where she serves the famous hot dogs born on the streets of Guatemala and various other recipes infused with Latin American flavors.
Additionally, Sofía is co-founder of Cielo House Comprehensive Eating Disorder Treatment, with clinics located in Burlingame, San Jose, Pleasanton and Moss Beach, CA. And she is a column write for The Voice Magazine.

Sofia attended Law School in Guatemala and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of San Francisco, and a PhD in Happiness Studies from the University of Life
