I heard a couple arguing on the street late last night so I took a look out my window. I was still working on my computer so I was quite awake around 1:45 AM. The woman 5’4″ was yelling “DON’T PUSH ME!”. The guy 6’4″ was violently talking to her in a way that I knew he was going to hit her so I called 911.
As I am talking to the female 911 operator the guy punches the woman on the face and knocks her down. The woman is lying on the floor so I tell the operator they must come now and start yelling “STOP!” out my window. My husnband decides to run out the house towards the guy as I am yelling now at my husband for him to stay and not go by orders of the 911 operator. My son wakes up, my dogs start barking, we are all being affected by this.
The woman gets up and crosses the street and the guy follows her and stops her again. Finally the police arrived. This was not a movie, it was not a YouTube clip. I saw it out my window and it shocked me. Domestic Violence is completely UNACCEPTABLE.
In a way I felt the 3 of us women, the victim, the female 911 operator and myself were in this together. COWARD I wonder how he would feel if the 3 of us together kicked his ass, but of course that is not the solution.
