Make S’mores in doors by making a S’more Pizza.
We can feel the cold weather knocking at the door and all we want is to make some s’mores. The best way to make s’mores is the classic way of roasting the marshmallows with a stick on an open fire. However, my son and I came up with a fun and easy way to enjoy making s’mores indoors. S’more Pizza!
To me the kitchen is a magical place where wonderful and delicious things happen. As a mom who loves to cook, it’s important for me to teach my kids to love food, respect it but also have fun with it.
The S’more Pizza is a fun and easy recipe that can be done by almost any kid no matter the age.
We used the classic ingredients of a s’more: chocolate chips and marshmallows, but we substituted the graham crackers for a thin pizza crust.
To keep the recipe of s’more pizza simple use a ready to bake pizza crust. I recommend getting ready to bake pizza crusts that are not frozen. We used Udi’s Gluten Free pizza crust.
S’more Pizza Ingredients:
- 1 ready to bake 9″ pizza crust
- 1 cup of mini marshmallows
- 3/4 cup of chocolate chips
How to make a S’more Pizza:
Pre-heat the oven at 375 degrees F.
Put the unbaked pizza crust on a ungreased cookie sheet then sprinkle enough marshmallows in one single layer over the crust leaving a nice pizza crust on the edge.
Strategically disperse the chocolate chips over the bed of marshmallow; to achieve a nice marshmallow and chocolate chip balance
Put the pizza in the oven for about 7 minutes or until the chocolate chips have melted and the marshmallows have gotten golden.
The S’more Pizza when you take it out of the oven will be a little bubbly and very hot. Transfer it to a cooling rack and et it rest for a few minutes until is cool enough (but still warm) for the kids to eat.
